Awake Early Years Consultancy is a team of industry experts passionate about supporting day nurseries, pre-schools, schools, early learning centres and childcare practitioners to be the best they can be. We equip our clients and their teams with the knowledge and skills needed to tackle the diverse challenges found in early years settings and provide safe, sustainable, enjoyable and effective learning environments for children.

Established in 2017, our team of early years consultants and trainers brings many years of professional experience. Having managed Ofsted-registered day nurseries and worked as Ofsted inspectors, we understand quality childcare from the perspectives of both practitioners and regulators. Our team understands the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS) and Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework (EIF), and we provide tailored solutions that help clients achieve the best outcomes for the children in their care.

Abraham is an experienced Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) consultant, former Ofsted Inspector, leader, and doctoral researcher with over 16 years of professional experience across practice, regulatory regimes, quality assurance, organisational leadership, and early years pedagogy. He supports organisations in delivering high-quality outcomes for children, families, and communities through evidence-informed leadership, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. His profile reflects a distinctive blend of operational expertise and scholarly engagement, positioning him at the intersection of policy, regulation, leadership, and pedagogy. Drawing on experience across practice, inspection, and research, he brings a critical, informed perspective to improving quality, strengthening professional practice, and advancing excellence across diverse ECEC contexts.

Jasmin

Jasmin is an EYPS-qualified Early Years Teacher and former Ofsted Inspector, bringing a rare dual perspective: five years of assessing quality from within the regulatory system and more than fifteen years of leading practice within it. A former Head of Nursery and DfE 2-Year-Olds in Schools Champion, Jasmin has trained practitioners nationally and internationally, mentored settings through improvement, and chaired professional groups across the sector. Her practice is evidence-led, play-based, and relentlessly focused on outcomes for every child.

Katie

Katie is an Early Years consultant and education leader with 19+ years’ international experience across the UK, Egypt and the Middle East. She works with nurseries and international schools to strengthen Early Years provision, improve quality, develop high-performing teams and build sustainable systems for success. Her consultancy expertise spans setting up and developing Early Years provision, quality and EYFS reviews, curriculum and systems development, leadership advisory, pedagogical coaching, staff training, safeguarding culture and inspection readiness. Combining strategic insight with hands-on sector expertise, Katie provides practical, tailored solutions that enable leaders and teams to raise standards, embed effective practice and create consistently high-quality experiences for children.
